Mechanical And Aerospace Engineering (MAE), Cornell University Notified by e-mail and invited for the visitation day on March 2. Full funding for the entire program. Undergrad from IIT Madras with a decent GPA! Not my top choice but relieved to have at least one offer.

Communication, Cornell University I applied, not really thinking my interests aligned with the faculty's, so I'm not too surprised. Email says: "Over 135 students applied for only a small number of places, making it impossible for us to accept many people we would like to have as members of our incoming class. We are also unable to provide individual feedback on applications."

Sociology, Cornell University Saw the request for info on Cornell acceptance. In the phone call I received on 1/26 from the DGS, he mentioned that the committee had "reviewed all of the applications" and they were admitting about 10% from a strong pool. Interpret that as you will but maybe don't completely rule out possibility of a waitlist or very-late acceptance?
