I thought I was a great fit but apparently they didn't think so :) But a very nice e-mail, the nicest rejection I've ever got actually. Especially after Stanford that took $125 for an application and rejected me with only two sentences!

bachelor's degree from a top university in asia (majors: economics and finance), cgpa = 3.49/4.30 when i submitted the form, good references (one from my school's chair of economics), internship with unicef china, research assistant experience * 2, math course * 4 or 5, toefl = 111. this acceptance came as a happy surprise, but i might decline for a place at lse :P will decide as soon as i can, and best of luck to those still waiting to hear back!!

To the poster below, which program did you get from Duke? If it's a stat program, I Perosonally think Duke is the best. UCLA has a weak stat department and UCSB and UCD are comparable.
