my numbers are average, i went to uc berkeley. what i think got me in were good letters of rec from professors/employers who know me really well and i had one year's urban planning experience in pakistan which i wrote about candidly in my essays. also i called the office because i too got an ambiguous email about an open house but didn't know of my decision. it seems like if your invite says "WL" then you're WL'ed and if it says "prospective student" then you're in. |

The usual - this year particularly difficult, selecting approx 7 out of over 170 apps, a bunch of us looked at your app & discussed it several times... etc. Not shocked but still disappointed. One would think they have the wisdom to send rejections by email once decided, not keep you waiting for a rejection in the mail. Sigh... |
