CUNY Hunter College Mental Health Counseling Graduate School Admission Results

Email to check website. Disappointing even though I want to attend another school that I am waiting to hear back from.

To the posters below who have been accepted for the Mental Health Counseling program, did you see an update on the dashboard that your application was reviewed? Also, when did you apply/submit your complete application?

Received email stating "the number of applicants far exceeds the number of seats available" but "The Committee has determined you are a strong candidate for the program and has recommended you for admission in the Spring 2018 semester."

So I received an email, same as the poster below me stating that I would be considered for the Spring 2018 semester. I called the admissions office because I wanted to learn more information and was told that it was basically a wait-list for those who applied for the Fall since they had more qualified students than open spots for the program. I was also told that my application would have to reviewed again by the admissions department for the Spring semester and then I would receive a final decision. I don't feel any type of way about it since it was not an outright rejection.

3 recs: 1 PHD, 1MHC and 1 Professor in Statistics 2 great essays and 3 work experiences in Psychology BFA in Sculpture

Emailed to check portal online. Official acceptance letter coming in the mail. 1a/0w/0r/3 pending

Received email to log on and check link. It isn't an official rejection letter, but it states they are unable to martriculate me into graduate studies at this time. Informed me to register as non-matriculated student and obtain at least 3.0 GPA and then reapply for another semester. Bummed.

My coworker got accepted a week before. I sent my application a week after him. Just an FYI.

sent me an email to the portal, expected a rejection because no interview in february. still pretty gutted regardless.

Graduated in 2018 with a non-mental health degree. Was told I didn't get into the CMHC program, but that I could switch to the CRC program. Found out a week later that I got in!
