Computer Science, University Of Texas At Austin To the UT Austin guy below; UT Austin waitlists you informing you via an email. And usually that happens at the end of March or so. I was waitlisted last year but couldn't get it off the list. The application will say "in review" for a very long time. In May or so, they will tell you that all the decisions have been made. UT Austin gives more than 90% of its acceptances in January. At this point, there is very less hope for a PhD admission.
