Got an e-mail. Official letter will come in a week

Those who were waitlisted for funding, and had a zoom call with the graduate coordinator, have you heard back? It's been more than 2 weeks for me and no word.

Has anyone else been invited for the interview? Or did anyone have an interview already? Just trying to understand how the interviews are conducted for Virginia Tech. Thanks!

I'm the poster below. I made mistake. I'm referring to UVA, not Virginia Tech. -- Is everyone who's wait listed at UVA invited to their open house? I've been emailed by the Graduate Admissions to check portal, and saw that I was wait listed, but no emails from the department regarding their open house event.

I did the interview a week ago but still haven't heard back from them. Is there anyone who got admitted after the interview?

To posters below. I don't know why all of you are so mad at the poster that recommended that you get a masters or a predoc. Isn't this good advice? Just do your predoc somewhere decent like Chetty Lab and your chances at places like Harvard are so much better. If you didn't apply to predocs, why? If you did apply but didn't get one, why? I thought that predocs looked for mostly the same features as PhD programs. Isn't it a bad sign if you couldn't even land a predoc?

Not waitlist...anybody hear from York PhD program..or Master's?

Not a waitlist. GPA is from grad school, over 4.3. Domestic applicant. I am just wondering when they will send out notifications. My other offers are expiring in about a week, and all they kept saying is they hope they will have made all decisions by the end of March. Despite my other offers, I prefer going to McGill because I live in Montreal. Having read results from last year on here and based on my own experiences, I can kind of tell they make decisions in a rather weird way. The best students don't get admitted there. Quelle arnaque!
