Computer Science, Stanford University TTPB: nobody really knows that unless someone from the inside answers. usually if you got an interview it is a good sign because they are considering your application. however, from previous post it could be possible that Stanford already sent out their first rejections, in that case getting an interview may actually mean you are in the borderline. Everything is Bayesian Inference and we can never know.

Computer Science, University Of Massachusetts, Amherst Applied to MS/PhD. Received an email of Change to Application Status and saw the accept letter after logging SPIRE. The accept letter didn't address any information about funding. Is it normal? The letter is from dean of graduate school. The Status of Application Materials is still Update Pending. Should I wait for another 1-2 days for a department-wise decision letter?
