Computer Science, Columbia University TTPB I think I applied PhD and then stated that I would be interested in MS if I didn't get the PhD. But, I thought I would be automatically considered for the MS, not have to fill out another application. At this point, I'm not interested b/c of a better offer.

Computer Science, University Of British Columbia Unofficial acceptance from prof after interview on monday. Canadian who did Math+CS undergrad at UBC Okanagan, 4 years RA experience at Stanford, 3 first author papers and ~8 middle author papers. field is applied ML/Comp bio.

It has been determined that your application may be better suited for consideration to the Master's degree program. Computer Science, Columbia University I also got the option to apply for a Masters. TTPB, if I didn't have a better offer I would probably do it. I think this is what they're offering to the candidates they would have taken as PhDs if this wasn't such a brutal year (so many reasons why there aren't the normal amount of spaces). Maybe MS would transition to PhD next year?? Anyway, good luck to all.
