Computer Science, University Of Wisconsin-Madison Had two first author publications one of the papers was a top conference in my area (security). I also worked with a professor closely over the summer and we published another paper together that will come out later this year. I had four very good research letters of rec and have been doing research for about 3 years. I came from low ranked university in computer science but made it work.

Computer Science, Stanford University Received email from PI today with unofficial notification that I have been admitted and letting me know that the official letter would come in tomorrow. I'm a current MS student with them but they did also say the admissions committee has made all its decisions.

Computer Science, Stanford University Got a call from my PI today with unofficial acceptance. All decisions have been made, so they'll probably send out official letters soon. Two interviews before with two PIs I listed in my application.

Computer Science, Virginia Tech Area: Quantum Information/Theory. B.Tech. from Tier-3 college (8.86/10). Several hackathon wins. 3+ international projects. Strong LoR's. 4 arXiv projects and 2 under review. Got offered $2250 per month (final amount not decided yet). Got interviewed by PoI in Jan. There's hope for us shit-tier bros don't worry!
