Computer Science, University Of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) TTPB: Radio Silence for now. I mailed them asking the timeline. they sent a generic mail. However, a few ppl I know have done interviews with their POI and received acceptances from them. So not much hope as UIUC is faculty-centric.

Computer Science, University Of Michigan (Ann Arbor) Surprised by this as it was my ambitious option. Undergrad GPA 3.2 from Top 20 CS departments. GRE - 324 (Q-164,V-160). Good SOP, recommenders personally knew POI, likely a back door entry due to my horrible GPA. Good undergrad research experience with 2 pubs.

Computer Science, UC San Diego (UCSD) Specialization: AI. Received an email from the department telling me that I'm being recommended. Then three days later I received the offer. No publication. One year of research experience.
