Computer Science, University Of Oxford I am the one who got rejected over the weekend. I chose Yale because it is a better Ivy overall (not by subject). I heard it is really easy to get into Columbia. It is a cash cow for them. The majority of the student body is international students from China. I am not looking to learn something from grad school since I already have 4 years of software engineering experience. I just want to add some prestige to my resume, which Yale provides better than Columbia IMO. If I were admitted by Oxford it would be a tough decision between Yale and Oxford, but Oxford made the decision for me lol.

Computer Science, University Of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) TTPB who was rejected: I highly doubt the credibility of your post. I applied for the Ph.D. program last year and the rejection mail was sent by the CS department. On the application portal, it just said "Program Review Complete - Contact your Proposed Program for Decision Information". And I don't mean that I am expecting a positive decision so close to the decision deadline, but AFAIK the rejection mail will be sent by the CS department.

Computer Science, University Of Illinois At Urbana-Champaign(UIUC) Just checked Application Portal and saw rejected in Application Status. Emailed POI multiple times but got no reply. Tho she saw my mail multiple times. Atleast could have replied that she is not taking any students this year. Pubs in EMNLP and AAAI with extensive NLP research exp and interns from Big 4. This is the worst, This is the worst!!

Computer Science, University of Southern California TTP(s)B : To the General CS and AI track who got rejected- That's a bummer, have hope, lots of Universities will start rolling their admissions offers soon. Can you please share the date/period you submitted your application ? Also what time did you get the email notification ?

Computer Science, MScAC, University Of Toronto To the previous poster, thanks! I accidentally put CS as the program but I meant to put MScAC, not sure how to delete that. I'm from a Canadian university with 11.76 out of 12 GPA with 3 co-op experience, will graduate next month. Good luck!
