Recent Graduate Admission Results March 2021
Computer Science, University Of California, Irvine I have applied to the MS program. I contacted the department. They said that they are not done sending admits yet. But I haven't seen any admit here after I contacted them. Not sure what's happening.

Computer Science, Stanford University No pub. Rank 3/221. Top 20 school in the world. 4 years of work experience at Palo Alto startup. Applied to this program in 2016 and 2017, so now rejected for a third time. Going to Yale.

Computer Science, SUNY Stony Brook Rejected :/ I don't understand, 2 international publications (one accepted, one under review), strong recos from well-known Profs , average GPA and one MNC internship. From a tier-1 university in India. Was my safe school, really shocked. Never thought I'd get rejected from here :(

Computer Science, University Of Massachusetts, Amherst Nope. I have applied to MS/Ph.D. as well and it's still under review. I submitted the application on 27th November, Filled the Ph.D. survey form on 24th December. Tier-2 College in India, 9.42 GPA, 3 Pubs in AI area, 1 internship - non-research, 2 years unrelated work experience, Meh LORS, Good SOP(I think). Honestly, this year being so brutal, I am unsure of getting in.

Computer Science, Stanford University GRE Verbal 85%, Quant 92%, undergrad GPA 3.8+ at good public uni for CS, internship + 1.5 yr experience at different FAANGs, no published papers. Expected, but still disheartened. wish everyone else luck on their grad pursuits :)

Computer Science, Stanford University Bachelors in CS from top 7 IITs. Great academic performance. 4 years work exp. in natural language processing (NLP) and data science at a top Wall Street FinTech company (perhaps core tech company like FAANG would have been better for Stanford). Some research experience in NLP but no papers. Mentioned the prof I wanted to do research with at Stanford explored my plans and possible research directions I could take at their lab in my SOP. Applied last year as well, same outcome, exact same wording of the rejection email. Rejection email received on 20th March at 11:02 PST. TTPB: to the person accepted to Stanford MSCS but rejected by CMU CDS, I am pretty surprised. I feel that Stanford CS ~= CMU CS >> CMU CDS (+Stan has the location and weather going for it) I got an acceptance from CMU CDS which is a silver lining but absolutely devastated that I couldn't get into Stanford on my second attempt as well.
