Computer Science, University Of Massachusetts, Amherst After checking for the 182nd time and after being on Update Pending for 48 hours, I am 'Denied' admission. Did not expect this - had a better profile than many who got admitted this year, last year and the year before that. Totally heartbroken. Moreover, the way they give out decisions is totally backwards - no email on denial of admission, hung on update pending, quite stressful. I think I am not going to recommend applying to UMass to anyone.

Computer Science, University Of Massachusetts, Amherst [ignore wailist] My status changed to Update pending today. Most likely a rejection since today is the last day of results. Anyways, fingers crossed. Anybody, whose status also changed?

Computer Science, Brown University To the comments below; I also don't really like the way that Brown is doing it, but it seems to be a pretty standard thing at a lot of schools. From my non-acceptances this year, less than half were prompt rejections - in my case, UT, UW, Stanford, and (if mid-March is prompt) Cornell. The pool of "undecided" schools was of a similar caliber mix as above, so it's hard to be mad at Brown for applying a common practice. Also, I can appreciate Jeff for explaining the situation for those who were just going off of hunches. Antagonizing him would be like killing the well-intended messenger.

Computer Science, University Of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) I contacted them through phone on 17 of march and they said that it will take 2 weeks so i guess it will be last dates of march i even asked them that around 30,31 march but they said that they can't guarantee so u might expect on the last dates of march.

Computer Science, University of California-San Diego The one asking for Databases Track Admits, I too have applied for the same and haven't heard from them yet. can anyone from the pool who got admitted confirm is any one you guys are from the same track?

Computer Science, University Of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) I contacted UCLA ms computer science they said that they will probably start releasing admits by the last week of march(around 30, 31) it they have completed their evaluation they also said that this time the number of applicants are high so it will take time.

Computer Science, Stanford University Graduated summa cum laude from UCLA CS, 3 years of work experience in ML engineering at FAANG. Fuck Stanford, they've rejected me so many times now (once for undergrad, 2 times for MS now). Never applying here again.
