Computer Science, Columbia University, UCLA, UT Austin (I'm the original poster of the post below asking for advice about Columbia vs UCLA vs UT Austin. I also forgot to mention that I was also accepted to the MCS program at UIUC, which is a professionally oriented program (the cost is on par with the UT Austin cost). I wanted to add that to the list of schools I am deciding between to see if anyone thinks that this is a better option than the 3 other schools mentioned. Also, TTPB, thanks so much for your input! If anyone else has inputs on any of these 4 schools, please let me know! I sincerely appreciate it :)

Computer Science, Cornell Tech, Columbia I'm torn between these programs and I have hours left to decide. Background: International student with a bachelor's in CS from a top 10 CS school. Currently, I'm working as a software engineer outside the US. I'm planning to stay in the US and continue working as a software engineer post-graduation. I think most of my coursework will be on systems and machine learning. Any help would be appreciated!

Computer Science, Columbia University, UCLA, UT Austin Hey everyone, I hope you're all doing well! I have been accepted to the CS MS programs at Columbia, UCLA, and UT Austin, and I'm having trouble finding any extremely concrete advantages/disadvantages that some of these schools have in relation to each other so that I can have tangible reasons for filtering some of the schools out and coming to a decision. I was wondering if anyone might have any insights, from personal experiences or from friends, about any of these schools that you would be willing to share. Columbia and UT Austin have coursework only options (without research), whereas at UCLA you're required to do a thesis/project, and since I am not planning on getting a PHD and I don't enjoy research very much, coursework only options appeal to me more. Cost is definitely one factor (Columbia comes out to be around $57,000 more expensive than UT Austin, and about $45,000 more than UCLA), but I don't want to base my decision solely, or extremely heavily on cost, as Columbia has some advantages the other schools do not (located in NYC, near Wall Street, as I am potentially interested in going into the fintech/financial industry after getting my Master's degree). Computer Science, Brown University Acceptance email stating to check website on 3/29. TTPB: I emailed them last week asking about status updates for the masters program and they said decisions should be out by the end of this week.

Computer Science, University of Southern California Anyone else hear from USC? Viterbi's website says their admitted student welcome event is April 6. I'm guessing that date was appropriately set by the department once they are done making decisions... The event for Data Science was Mar 30, didn't get a decision for that major either, but I guess they admit by school not major...
