Computer Science, University Of California, Irvine Generic reject mail. Quite sad. No Gre. Good Gpa from tier 2 school. 1 publication and ton of intern experience. Computer Science, University Of California, Irvine Very shocked. Two IEEE conference papers(CVPR & ICME), 3.9+/4.0 GPA, GRE:329, 4.0, TOEFL: 105, several researchers experience, at least one strong LoR. I consider this as a very safety. Fortunately, already have admit from much better top schools. Very hurt, because it's a very lower ranking school.

Computer Science, University Of California, Irvine Shocked more than disappointed as I considered this as a safety. Have admits from much better schools. But yeah, very very weird admission cycle.

Computer Science, University Of California, Irvine Already have admits from the Top 15, but still, rejection hurts especially if it's from a much lower ranking school compared to other admits. I thought I would get in, but 2021 admission season is crazy and highly unpredictable.
