Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University Rejected from MSML. Tier-1 College, Non-CS Undergrad, 2 years of experience at a unicorn as a Data Scientist, 0 publications, 1 LOR from CEO, 1 LOR from Manager, 2 from Professors. Was my over-ambitious university. Will need to work harder.

Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University MS ML rejection. It was expected. 2 papers in SCOPUS indexed IEEE Xplore, Tier 3 college (India), 9.58/10 CGPA which a recognized conversion service had converted to 3.88 . Looks like admissions this season is going to be extremely competitive, 7 other programs to go.
