Computer Science, University Of California, Berkeley A piece of advice: Do NOT apply to Berkeley's MSCS unless you are dead certain that your portfolio stands out one in thousands. MS/PhD program usually has a much higher acceptance rate than MS only.

Computer Science, University Of California, Berkeley Graduating from an American college. 2 research opportunities. First one in computational physics (Paper in progress) and the second in machine learning (current). One internship as an app developer. Strong LOR's. No GRE. Hurts to start the season like this, certainly wasn't expecting. Was I missing something in my application? Or only people with actual work experience get in here?

Computer Science, University Of California, Berkeley University of Waterloo grad, no conference papers, one undergraduate research experience in an unrelated domain of computer science, many internships. Rough cumulative GPA due to a couple of terms where I really struggled with completing schoolwork, due to external sources. Not very surprised at the result. Honestly, if anybody has any advice for how I can turn my chances next time I apply, despite not being able to change my GPA, I'd love to hear it in the comments.

Computer Science, Yale University Stings! I go to a Top 5 CS college (known mainly for CS) in the United States. 1+ year research with no publications, glhf all! Hope admitted students have a good time at Yale

Computer Science, Yale University 1 year of research, 1 paper, and 2 FAANG internships. Feel like I got filtered by GPA (< 3.5) and they didn't really consider the rest of my profile. Oh well feeling a tad depressed today.

Computer Science, Yale University Feeling really sad about this rejection, I thought I had a strong application. Form a top 5 CS school with a strong GPA and LORs. Biggest weakness was my GRE score. I have 2 papers published in top journals and one pending review. Reach out if you have any questions or advice

Computer Science, Yale University Notified via email to check portal. 1.5 years of research experience, no papers published with one preprint. International but graduated from top 10 US university with CS major. Good luck to all and congrats to those admitted.

Computer Science, University of Southern California I cannot believe it! I applied to three programs within computer science (AI, Data Science, and the general CS degree) and got admitted to all three. I did not receive an email, but checked my portal and saw my acceptance letters. I had 3 Summer internships and will be graduating with my Bachelor's this May. I was the software lead of a finalist team competing in an Elon Musk competition and worked on code for a medical device that was later approved by the FDA. Good luck to those still waiting!

Computer Science, University of Southern California I applied for General and Data Science and received acceptances for both! I did not receive an email to check my portal, however I have been checking it regularly and my letters appeared this morning when I checked!
