Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University PhDs itself this year will not have enough funds so I doubt whether MLT would get funding preference for this year. POI informed as I have other Ph.D. offers and now will consider that strongly instead of going through the MLT-PhD route at CMU.

Computer Science (Scientists And Engineers), University of Southern California To the poster below with 3.97 GPA, I too have an MS CS (S&E) USC admit and might want to defer to Fall '18. How will you contact USC for deferment? Mail them or is there a formal pipeline in place? Also, how strong should be the reason to defer?

Computer Science, McGill University to below: stats: Lvl 90 rogue in WoW, 99 fishing in RS, GPA 4.0, been working on a collab project with a professor at McGill for the last 6 months (he is not a computer science professor). Haven't spoken with a single computer science professor. Letter said funding information was to follow. Applied in December

Computer Science, University Of British Columbia (UBC) - Okanagan Campus Accepted to the Optimization group with a funding offer of 18K CAD per year. Was interviewed mid February. So relieved.
