Computer Science, Amherst College My status just changed to Update Pending. There was a poster somewhere below who mentioned that you get a notification on the home page if you're admitted even though the status hasn't changed. Can't see anything like that on my spire. Bummer.

Computer Science, University of Massachusetts Amherst How long does it take to the status to change from 'update pending' to accept/reject? Received a mail yesterday about status change in Spire, but it's stuck at update pending now. Really getting worried.

Computer Science (MSCS), Carnagie Mellon University (CMU) Top 20 engineering school, decent GPA, no publication but some good projects and research experiences, 2 strong LoRs (I believe) and a mediocre one. Still quite shocked.

Computer Science, University of California-Los Angeles Got into 4 much better programs. Actually forgot about UCLA until I looked at gradcafe today. Waiting on a couple safety programs I don't care about anymore. To my fellow applicants, thank you for your help and for assuring me that we were in this together. I wish you all the best. Goodbye gradcafe. I hope I never return.

Computer Science, Masters (F19), MILA To the poster below asking about Professional MSc program: It's mostly a course based program vs the research focused regular MSc program. That's why the professional MSc program doesn't come with any funding / stipend. For folks deciding on the MSc offers, I think the Mila regular MSc is one of the best MSc programs you can get into if you do the cost benefit analysis (No tuition + you get monthly stipends and other benefits).
