Computer Science, McGill University These Canadian schools are insane, I had one of the most BALLER applications of ALL TIME (think Shaquille O'Neal, Kobe Bryant, Steph Curry, etc. in terms of ballerness) and they straight up reject? Their loss, I'll go to an AMERICAN school that appreciates a PLAYER.

Computer Science, University of California-Los Angeles Pretty surprising. I've taken about 10 CS courses at UCLA and received A+ or A in all of them lol. Will be going to Stanford anyway, but def butthurt about this one

Computer Science, University of California-Los Angeles Got an email informing me that a decision made on my UCLA portal. I've received a couple acceptances, so something about the tone of the email was different and I could see the rejection coming before I saw it officially on the portal. The email also came at 11:08pm (PT), I feel like people don't send out good news at that time. Disappointed, was a dream school. Still waiting to hear from UC Berkeley.

Computer Science, University Of Waterloo MMath Computer Science Thesis denied admission by the academic department. No email was sent. Notified through the portal. Kinda expected but they took their sweet time.

Computer Science, Penn State University Rejected from University Park campus, but offered consideration for Harrisburg campus. Sounds like a generic rejection. Not really surprised but feel a bit bad as well - Penn was in my moderate list.

Computer Science, SUNY Buffalo Undergrad in CS from top IIT in India. Had low grades but I think LORs from my internships (one international research-based, one professional domestic) and professor helped a lot. Focused on my SOP a lot as well, knowing that I had bad grades.

Computer Science, University Of Massachusetts, Amherst No publications but have worked on a large project with my university for a little while. Will probably need to retake the GRE and reapply next cycle.
