9.16/10, 2 Publications, 1.5 years of experience.

I wasn't expecting an admit It was an ambitious uni for me.

Tier-2 uni in india, GPA :9.68/10, Top 1 in branch. 2.5+ years of exp as DS at a Top db firm. 4, 1st author conference and elsevier pubs, 1 under review in area of research. several research internhsips (industry) in RL & robotics. Don't really know what just happend! With the increased flux to RL & robotics (being my primary research area) I think I was too ambitious :( Congratulations all those who got in , you are amazing ! :D 2R/5, other being berkeley. waiting on 4,

(Indian) Top NIT, CGPA 9.38/10, TOEFL 119, no papers, one international internship (France), area of interest: battery materials and compmatsci.

Tier-1 College in India, 9.12/10 CGPA, 2 years work experience as a Software Engineer, 1 publication in Tier-2 international conference as a second author, 10 months of research experience. Congrats to everyone who got in.

Weird. Got accepted to Stanford, Columbia, Penn and BU, but rejected from here.

CS undergrad, top-tier IIT, 9.66 CPI, 2 yrs work experience, 2-3 research projects, some extra-curriculars, no research papers. Got an email to check the portal, was my safe school but I think the notion of safe and ambitious is all flawed, no one knows what the admission committee looks into, got an admit from UIUC (lucky) and rejected from UCSD. Can this process "be" more non-deterministic?

Accepted to the MLDS specialization, MS in ECE. The checklist disappeared for me a few hours before the update.

From 3rd gen IIT (CGPA 8.5+). Wasn't very keen to apply because of less scope in my research area, but did it anyway for the DeepMind fellowship. No pubs but relevant part-time research experience for 9 months. Decent to strong LoRs; a lot of extracurricular activities in my application too. Congrats to the admits! Rejects: dont worry, other opportunities are surely waiting!

Top tier Pubs in AAAI, AACL, EMNLP. 6 month work ex. 2 years research exp. Was dream school. Rejected from 6/11 schools I applied to. Why this pain :(((

Undergrad in Electronics Engineering from India. 8.12/10 GPA. 4 strong LORs. 1 year of research internship. No publications. Several CS Courses. 2 years in Technical Team. Got an email to check the status page. Kind of expected, with this GPA.

One paper got the best paper award at an International conference. One paper published in springer journal. One foreign research internship (LOR from advisor)

Accepted from CMU MS Robotics but rejected by UCSD. Was not expected.
