MFA Graduate School Admission Results

So they waitlisted me for like 4 months and literally ghosted me after April 15th. What an honor. Apparently, I underestimated how difficult this decision is and how unprofessional this process could be. Maybe I should send a Christmas card in case they forget.

Program is inconsiderate of their applicants. Finally received a rejection, it's nearly May. At least take the time to review and inform rejected candidates sooner so they can make an informed decision about waitlisted programs before April 15. Shocked by the selfishness.

I got an email that a decision was ready. Portal had the rejection letter.

I was waitlisted to Hollins over a month ago and I'm still awaiting a final decision. This is the last school I'm waiting on. Has anyone else on the Hollins waitlist heard anything? Or admitted students, have you made your decision? Could really use some movement here to plan for the future. :) Thanks!

Status says waitlisted but I actually haven't heard anything at all. Anyone else out there in the same boat? I reached out to the English department over the weekend, hoping to hear back soon.

first of all, the decision is super late. second, they didn't send an email or anything, checked portal and there was a one sentence response. "Your application has been reviewed, and the committee has denied admission." rutgers is a fucking mess and I'm glad I dodged this bullet

that wraps up an incredible MFA season for me; so proud of everyone

Rejected off waitlist :(

Despite being super late, the emailed rejection letter was actually very nice (compared to other schools). It says, "Thank you for your application to the MFA program at Rutgers University—Camden. We've read your application with great interest. Unfortunately, we're unable to recommend your admission at this time. Competition for admission was especially intense this year. Our program is very small, which means we had to turn away many promising applicants. Please don't take the admissions decision as discouragement about your writing. We truly wish it were possible to accommodate more writers at this time. Please accept all our best wishes for your future work. Thank you again."

Was first admitted with a partial scholarship, but my offer was later revised to include full funding and a stipend

Accepted off of the waitlist at what feels like the last minute. Been waitlisted for almost two months. Over the moon because it was make or break! 1a/0w/7r that's a wrap :D
