Note

Drexel strung me along for MONTHS, initially telling me I'd hear back late January, then late February, then March 15th, then the week after, etc. I had to ask for an extension from a competing school, so I was a bit flummoxed to open the portal to a rejection today. I met with multiple faculty members interested in working with me, have a long CV with over 30 papers in press, and am mid-career working in mental health. I had a 4.0 in my Master's program with a Dean's award. I suppose I can see it as a silver lining to have dodged a bullet in working with a program lacking professionalism. However, I'm still disappointed as Drexel gave me the impression that they may have a more social justice-informed approach than other schools I had been considering, with an emphasis on interrogating systems.
