Note

I've seen others on gradcafe have reported receiving first round offers from UBC, but I hadn't heard back since submitting my materials in December 2022. After emailing to ask for my application status, I received a rejection email 2 days later. I'm a little disappointed that UBC did not update my portal status or notify sooner, as they clearly made a decision (perhaps a month ago). Without my inquiry, maybe I will still have to wait. As an international student, I need ample time to prepare for other stuffs. While UBC is my dream school, I hope they improve their communication and notification process in the future.
