I finally got the rejection today. It has been 3 months since the interview and a month since I reached out to the department for an update (with no reply), so I was expecting it. At least the email from the DGS was kind and personalized. After two seasons of being shut out, I think it is time to accept defeat, get a cat, and move to plan B.
