- Notes
- Ignore \"official\" acceptance. Was contacted today notifying me that I am on a shortlist to be admitted to the department pending continued interest in the program and the number of offers the department is able to extend. The official word would come soon from this point, however I have already accepted an offer elsewhere. It is worth noting that this timeline for a second round of acceptances is in line with what is written on the department website this year, 2023: "The Department will contact selected applicants for interviews in February. Final decisions will be made in March and April." In this admissions cycle, interviews were announced on January 27th and occurred in the first two weeks of February; initial acceptances and rejections were made in early to mid March following an open house for select finalists in the first days of March; finally, the second round of decisions was communicated to candidates such as myself in early April. While this has been a very long process, I suggest future applicants who may look at this page refer to the following: as the information was consistent. If this is absolutely your preferred program, refer here and remember that there ALWAYS can be movement at the end of an admission cycle.
