Note

I was sent an email saying: "We have conducted our initial review of all completed applications and have extended invitations to interview. If you have not received an email regarding interviewing in January 2023 you were not among those selected. It is possible that we will revisit the applicant pool for additional folks to interview, however, please be aware that we received an unusually large number of applicants this year. Therefore you should pursue all options for programs you may consider for your graduate counseling training." Although this might not be considered an outright rejection, it basically was. I found it is equivalent to when you are rejected from a job and they say "We'll keep your application for the future."
