Note

Would have been studying modernism. Have spent over half of my life obsessively studying the works of the defining modernist authors, presented papers at the centenaries for two of the most influential works in modernism, received a Distinction for my Masters and can read in six languages. Both my father and aunt attended, including in the English program, and I've spoken with a professor who said he'd love to take me on, was the only active expert on my field of expertise in the world, and said that I should be teaching one of his classes given my experience. Still not enough. Assume I haven't gotten into the other programs I applied to. Guess half of my life's been a waste.
