Note

hep-th: I just now mailed my 1st priority prof at Santa Barbara to ask about my application. He said he is not taking any students, and most likely other hep-th profs are also not taking this year "due to lack of available positions.". It costs 140 USD. 2 other universities could have been applied with that money. They have good hep-th professors but they did the same thing last year or the year before that. :(
