I woke up feeling extremely anxious to check Gradcafe so here is a reminder that whatever results you get this week don't depend as much on your academic capabilities as it does on a narrow personalized fit for the department. You did a great job submitting all applications and last year was tough but the fact that you didn't give up means that you're an unbeatable entity. Good luck to everyone, and be kind to yourself. Everything (genuinely) happens for a reason and if it doesn't, we all remember what they say about Sisyphus---imagine him happy! :))) PS: Dartmouth doesn't offer a PhD in English.
