- Informed via email to check portal. Was told more than 400 applicants are competing for the positions. I got one rec letter from a prof at this department. I really love UChicago!!!!Thank you guys.. I guess I can withdraw all other applications. 1st author pub in computer science submitted, 2 second-author(one in particle physics) pub under review by decent journal, 2 n-th pubs accepted(all in particle physcis). But I apply to exoplanets (a big transition huh. )
