Received the e-mail this morning. Seems to be an unofficial letter(no funding information). I submitted my application on 12.1 and received the confirmation e-mail on 12.15. I heard from the program coordinator that although the applications submitted before 12.1 11:59 pm est were considered in the early batch, the committee would have two separate meetings to discuss them based on the received time(maybe too many applicants). The first meeting(round) will allocate space for the second one and the whole process is fair. I am in the second round and lucky enough to get the offer.
