Applied with focus in Neuroscience. I met with three PIs in the department prior to submitting my application. The first week of January, one of them shared with me that I wasn't going to get an interview because had a lot of applicants in the "bench sciences" that were better for the program. I have worked in a Neuroscience Lab for two years, but my undergrad degree was a BA.
