CFP/hep-th. Had a brief interview with a potential PI at CFP and was very positive in taking me. He informed that he will interview me again after submitting the application, but never heard back. Sent several emails regarding this, never replied back. May be my theoretical background never suits CFP. So I quite expected this rejection
