- Domestic applicant. Sent an email to my POI inquiring about any updates since our last conversation. They said that there are limitations in the numbers of students the department can accept. There is a complex procedure, and some tenured profs may not be at the top of the list for being able to get a student; however, there is a great chance that they will be able to go ahead and make me an offer in the next few days.
