Ignore waitlist. I reached out to UBC about whether I could receive an expedited review of my master's application, as I hold offers for comparable master's in economics programs with upcoming deadlines. I received an email saying that UBC master's in economics applications are currently being processed and offers will likely go out in the next week or so. In the meantime, they recommend asking for extensions on any outstanding offers one may hold. Just wanted to share the information in case anyone was in a similar boat and/or anxious. MPhil in Economics decisions from Oxford should also be coming out this week or next since I also reached out to them, and they suggested reaching back out in early March for an update.
