Astrostats + observation. ~1.5 years research experience, 2 first author pubs in ApJ, a few talks/posters, strong LORs, strong statement, no big awards, no GRE, no teaching experience. Emailed potential advisors in October + November but was ignored. No interview. Honestly a little surprised because my physics background is relatively weak. 4/0/5 accept/reject/waiting. Virtual visit March 31 - April 1.
