Note

Applied on the deadline for most scholarships (1 December) and mail came in today. Physics undergrad from a top university in Turkey. Mediocre academic record. A bit long (1490 words) motivation letter. Strong letters of recommendation, I believe. Two (and a half) research experiences in different areas of physics, one of them is on its way to end with a paper. IELTS 8/9, no GRE. Many outreach activities, and TA experience. Very excited to be accepted for Quantum Devices and Quantum Computing track. Although I do not have much research experience in the respective field, I attended many workshops and got the chance to explore. Fingers crossed for scholarship opportunities, but it's a long shot.
