Note

I wrote a mail some days back, asking them to update me on my status. I got rejection in reply. Frankly, I thought Cornell MSE was within reach for me; maybe they're admitting potential future Nobel Laureates. I won't say I am devastated, but by waiting for an outcome (a reject, which I am sure they could have conveyed earlier, because the letter was generic) from this place, given its higher preference on my priority order, I sat on other admits. People waitlisted there could have waited less and benefited. Anyway, even I am helpless.
