- I applied one month before the deadline without a GRE and a 3.1 GPA. Five years of work experience. The COVID-19 pandemic sparked my desire to get back into school and pursue a career in national security. My essays reflected that. That, and the recommendations, carried me this far. Close, but no cigar (yet). The SSP community were really supportive during the application process.
