I know this is sad to hear, but it was really competitive this year, with 515 applications for just 15 slots. There were 100's of applicants that we would love to have admitted, but it was not possible given the constraints. If the University had given us more positions then the news would have been different for some of you. It is not going to be feasible to give you individual feedback. But please don't be disheartened by this news in your desire to become a PhD Economist. We all have these setbacks in life, but we must all move on. "
