- Hey congrats to the person who got accepted to this program! I graduated from here and found since then the program has been crumbling apart and undergoing some changes in the administrative level. It's a highly selective, yet poorly designed masters program with no thesis and there aren't many funded PI's. They do not prepare you well for jobs, PhD, or MD/DO programs. But if you care about the Hoya name then by all means come! I had a great time in DC. Some tips if you decide to go here: try to get strong relevant research in your undergrad lab until the August you start classes otherwise you might not even get research opportunities. The Microbio department prioritizes Biohaz students over Microbio and Policy. There are a ton more resources for Biohaz students. If you're dead set on GU, I'd suggest the Biohaz program and taking Microbio classes as electives. Students in that program work in the government (FBI & DOD) and got into highly selective research programs and MD and PhD programs. Talk to the Director and other alumni and see what's the best option for you. Congrats again!
