- TTPB: I am just curious -- was your method of arriving at the ~50% figure if not by some kind of loose estimation like the one I used? But fair point. Let me revise. (Fwiw, I thought the 14 was referring to the number of accepted students not matriculations). But anyway: (1) About 20% of accepted IS students post on here. But an interview is less of a big deal, so let's assume only 10% of interviewees post here. (2) Then 10 * 6 posts = 60 estimated interview invites. (3) To achieve 14 students enrolling, Cornell has to accept twice as much due to 50% yield rate. So there will be 28 acceptances. (4) Then the post-interview acceptance rate is 28/60 ~ 46%. Same number mwahaha ;)
