Yes, I asked the interviewer explicitly. The interviewer also said that they will not be giving out "over-offers" this year (i.e., they only give out the exact # of offers as students they can accept). In most years they'll send out extra offers because inevitably people will decline to attend a different school (which might leave them with an unusually large class size). But this year, they'll only send out additional offers if people decline before the April 15 deadline.
