Stanford University
Economics, PhD (F21)
Rejected via E-mail on 12 Jan 2021
Note
I wish I knew how Stanford made decisions within a month. Oh well. My background... double major math and econ from a basic undergrad university, took numerous Ph.D. mathematics courses as an undergrad and scored all As in them. Currently a grad student at Duke University in their MA econ program. Letters came from a prestigious Set Theoretic Topologist, a Research Economist at Duke, a Nobel laureate from University of Chicago, and a math professor I had for Multivariable Calculus and Complex Analysis (Ph.D. version). I only applied to the top 10, but I applied for math and econ PhD programs. Hopefully the rest of the universities are not following Stanfords 4 week review model.
