Note

I submitted my application prior to the funding deadline in December, but because it took the admissions department 14 weeks to process my documents the anthropology department wasn't able to consider my application until April and did not even know that I had submitted it in December. Edinburgh had strikes delaying things in March and COVID-19 related delays afterwords but this was still really disapointing. In the end I was accepted but the department wasn't able to give me funding because they received the application so late. My documents were only finally processed by admissions after I emailed them 5 times. Word of advice, definitely reach out if your documents are not being processed quickly and make sure the department knows that you submitted prior to the funding deadline early on. 2a/7r/0w
