That somehow happened. Still not sure what the admission committee saw in me. B.S. ChemE from a top5 chemE public US university (class of 2018). 2 years of part-time academic research (1 year in a lab related to my desired field of study). Two summer industrial internships (unrelated to my desired field of study). 1.5 years full-time research position in industry (related to my desired field of study). 0 publications (right???????). 1 presentation. Not sure if this helped, but I had extensive student involvement/volunteerism during my undergrad. I think having the full-time work experience in research in desired field of study gave me the bump I needed.
