- They sent an email like below: Thank you for applying to our graduate program in Mechanical Engineering at Northwestern University. We are still reviewing files and wrapping up our admissions process, but we expect to make a few more offers in the next week or so. Given that the April 15th deadline is fast approaching, I wanted to reach out to you to see if you are still interested in our PhD program and have not accepted any other offers. Can you please reply to this email to let me know what you think? Please also feel free to share with me any other information that you think may be helpful in guiding our decision process and timeline (offers from other schools, Northwestern being top choice, prior interaction with faculty, recent updates/papers etc.). If you respond positively, it is possible that one of our coordinators may get in touch with you in the next several days to setup an interview for next week. After replying, I got a rejected mail. WTF.
