TPB who asked about how UBC has informed about the acceptances. I got this mail from Prof. Henry Siu " I hope you are doing well. Thank you for submitting your application to the Vancouver School of Economics PhD program at the University of British Columbia. As the director of admissions, I am very happy to inform you that your application has been accepted. I, and everyone who looked at your file, was very impressed. We hope that you will choose to come to UBC! Right now we are still putting together information on funding, and an official notification from the VSE will be sent out to you next week. However, I did not want to delay in contacting you; it is always nice to share good news in time for the weekend! In the meantime, please let me know if you have any offers or deadlines from other schools that we should be aware of. Given your accomplishments and promise, I would not be surprised if you have other offers and wish to withdraw from consideration; in that case, please let me know and I wish you the very best success. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions or concerns that you want to chat about.
