- Got rejected on the basis of an interest mismatch (behavioral economics vs human ecology). They said I was a better match for the PhD program and forwarded my application to that program. Unfortunately the PhD admissions committee got the referral too late, as they had already sent out their acceptances. They like my application but some bad luck got in the way. I've never been so complimented by a rejection. Might apply next year.
